Make your own holiday personalized name tags

Make your own holiday personalized name tags

This is a fun holiday crafting idea I got from a friend of mine.  She loves the holidays and made these personalized name tags for herself for work.  They are really simple to make because almost all the work was already done.  (more…)

Holiday Kid’s Crafts: Candy Wreath

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

The holidays are a wonderful time to do crafts with kids.  The article about the Thanksgiving Candy Centerpieces made me interested in this video about making a Christmas Candy Wreath.   As soon as I saw the picture of the wreath at the beginning of the video, my crafter’s mind started whirling…

…this would be a fun project for Halloween

…this would be a great project for left0ver Halloween candy

…this would be a fun project for Thanksgiving using golden and fall colored candy like butterscotch candy, etc.

…this would be fun for a kids birthday party, and so on.

Obviously, this craft project is great for kids AND kids at heart, like me. :-)

Happy Crafting!

Handmade Halloween Wreath with Skulls

Handmade Halloween Wreath with Skulls

Supplies:

Grapevine Wreath

Spray Paint

Halloween Embellishments

One of the things I enjoy about Halloween is the “crafting potential” of the holiday.  Not all holidays inspire me to craft, but this is one that does.  With that said, I didn’t make these Halloween wreaths.

My crafty friend, Karen, made these wonderful Halloween wreaths.  It’s a fun and easy Halloween craft project; a wonderful kid’s craft project too.  Make one for your door or make one for a friends door for a handmade Halloween gift.  If you have a friend who loves Halloween, personalize the wreath to his/her Halloween tastes.  Do they love skulls or spiders or neither?  Customize your gift in whatever way you like!

If you would enjoy a less creepy wreath, I suggest you spray paint the grape vine wreath orange and hot glue candy (or tie it) to the wreath.  If you want to contact Karen directly, contact me, and I’ll give you her email address.
